Restorative YOGA

Our bodies are alive with many secrets, many which are waiting to shimmer in the vividness of our deepest presence. Rain’s Restorative Yoga approach is about ‘being’ more so than ‘doing’.

Restorative Yoga is a passive practice in which poses are held for several minutes at a time. The body is supported and propped with blocks, bolsters and blankets that calm the body and restore it to the parasympathetic function (where healing occurs in the body.)

Restorative yoga has many rejuvenating benefits and applications that may assist with exhaustion, anxiety, hormonal imbalances, chronic fatigue, adrenal fatigue and recovery from illness.

Rain will lead you, with comforting and restful postures, into a complete relaxation of the body that allows vital-life energy to heal the nervous system and restore emotional balance.  

When we feel more grounded, safe and integrated, we hear our body’s language and, maybe for the first-time, know what it feels like to be rooted to the earth, cradled and protected.
